Meet The Team!

EMILIE RACKOVAN

Founder & President

Emilie is an experienced animal rescuer, foster parent, and educator who has been working in animal welfare for almost a decade. Known for telling the stories of her foster animals on social media, she has built a large community of passionate animal advocates. Emilie founded Thrifted Kittens Animal Rescue to make a greater impact for Milwaukee animals, especially those who might otherwise not survive. While she loves helping all animals, her greatest passion is caring for those who need intensive medical care.

HALEY HOLZ

Vice President & Rescue Coordinator

Haley has been involved in animal rescue since she nursed a cat she found, Bloo, back to health. After he passed away, she wanted to help other animals like him so began volunteering with various shelters and rescues to learn more and make a difference. She joined Thrifted Kittens and quickly worked her way up to Vice President and Rescue Coordinator, while also fostering for the organization. She loves fostering adult cats more than anything and can’t resist a good old tomcat!

DR. REBECCA FERRING

Secretary & Veterinarian

Dr. Rebecca Feiring owns Happy at Home Veterinary LLC, which provides in-home veterinary care. In addition to her day job, Dr. Rebecca is a staunch animal rescue advocate and champions dogs in need. When she isn’t helping other people’s pets, she enjoys spending her spare time with her rescue dog, cat, and pony.
