Birdie was brought to Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control as a stray with a painful, bloody mouth. Upon further inspection, it turned out that she had severe stomatitis, which is inflammation of the lining of the mouth. Unfortunately, due to the damage, she needed to have all of her teeth pulled aside from her 4 canines which are thankfully still in great shape! She absolutely blossomed after having the dental procedure and is thriving in foster. Birdie gets along great with the other cats (despite them sometimes being rude to her), coexists well with dogs, and we imagine she would be just fine with respectful children. She is outgoing, loves to snuggle, and is just the very best girl - you can’t go wrong with her!
